On 30th August 2025 at India International Centre, Delhi witnessed an unforgettable evening that celebrated India’s creative soul, its cultural pride, and its enduring spirit — the Pranaam Bharat Curtain-Raiser. Conceived and hosted by pioneering Indian designer Rosy Ahluwalia and Entrepreneur Seema Vashishth, the event brought together visionaries, artists, civil servants, and leaders who share a deep passion for India’s evolving cultural identity.
From its very first moment, the event exuded elegance and emotion. The evening opened with a moving musical performance by Bollywood singer Shibani Kashyap, whose soulful voice set the tone for what followed — an ode to India’s timeless beauty, diversity, and innovation.
A highlight of the night was the “Power Walk of Pride”, a symbolic showcase of strength and unity. Walking the ramp were individuals who have served the nation in varied capacities — Dr. Shantanu Kumar (IAS), Nisith Pramanik (Former Minister of State for Home Affairs and Youth Affairs), Captain Manjula Katoch, Tabish Samuel, Suveena Thakur (IAS), Flight Lieutenant Sonal Saxena (Indian Air Force), and Bharat Thakur — all embodying the spirit of service, dignity, and national pride.
The event was graced by eminent guests, including Chief Guest Kapil Misra, Former Minister for Water Resources, Tourism, and Culture, and Guest of Honour Harvansh Chawla, Chairman of the BRICS Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BRICS CCI). Their presence reinforced the event’s purpose — to bridge culture, governance, and industry for a greater national vision.

The evening also witnessed a stunning Khadi fashion presentation titled “Cultural Threads of India” by designer Rosy Ahluwalia. Her collection celebrated India’s indigenous handloom heritage through contemporary silhouettes — proving that Khadi is not just fabric, but philosophy; not just tradition, but timeless relevance.
Seema Vashishth and Rosy Ahluwalia addressed the gathering, sharing the genesis of Pranaam Bharat — a movement born out of a shared dream to create a national and international platform that honors artisans, nurtures designers, and promotes India’s sustainable craftsmanship. They emphasised that the evening was merely a curtain-raiser, offering a glimpse of the grandeur and purpose of the full-scale Pranaam Bharat event to come.
The audience comprised industrialists, defence officers, government dignitaries, designers, and creative entrepreneurs — all united by a common thread: love for India’s evolving creative identity.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Manpriya Ahluwalia, who acknowledged the unwavering support of sponsors, partners, and guests who believed in the mission of Pranaam Bharat.
This curtain-raiser wasn’t just a celebration — it was a statement. A statement that India’s cultural resurgence is here, and it’s being led by visionaries who see tradition not as history, but as a living force shaping the future.
